Creativity

New media fosters creativity with mashups. In the article "1 +1 +1 = 1 The new math of mashups", Frere-Jones discusses about mashups, one being "The Grey Album" assembled by Brian Burton. At that time "The Grey Album" was the most popular mashup in the US. I looked it up on YouTube and it only had 500k views. I would say mashups have evolved tremendously since Frere-Jones wrote her article in 2005 because the mashups of today usually get over a million views on YouTube. I enjoy mashups myself, Bollywood Mashup 2015 created by DJ Chetas and Bollywood Mashup 2016 created by Kiran Kamath are two mashups that I personally am fond of.
